In an interview with Accra-based radio station, Accra FM, he said, "I cannot tell where they are coming from; it is a matter for the police to investigate and find out who printed them."

Earlier in the morning media reports suggested that the Police in Kumasi had upon a tip-off seized three bags stuffed with materials reported to be thumb-printed presidential ballot papers found at the Madison Hotel at TUC in the Ashanti Regional capital.

The report suggested that all the ballot papers had thumb prints for President John Mahama, the Presidential candidate of the National Democratic Congress (NDC).

COP Kofi Boakye said the ballot papers retrieved had no serial numbers, therefore, making them fake.

The situation has caused over 500 supporters of the NPP to throng the Central Police Command.

But Mr Siriboe Quaicoe said, "They are not ballot papers printed by the Electoral Commission, they have been printed by someone, they are clear counterfeits so there is no way they can be part of the EC’s authentic ballot papers."
