The family of the murdered MP J.B. Danquah say they believe controversial undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas and the widower of the late politician Ivy Heward-Mills were involved in the gruesome murder.

The spokesman for the family stunningly revealed that Anas travelled to England with Ivy to sell the house of the late politician in London few months after the death claiming the duo were secret lovers while the politician was alive.

Solomon Danquah Adu, who is the nephew of the deceased politician, also revealed that Ivy turned up at the one year anniversary of the late politician with gangs of AK 47 wielding police with Anas in cahoot - arriving at the event amid huge suspicion of the duo's role in the murder.

J.B. Danquah-Adu murdered on February 9, 2016, by some armed people who made their way into his room in his Shiashie residence in Accra.

Although, Daniel Asiedu, 19, was immediately arrested in connection with the murder has been on trial from that time with prosecution finding it difficult to make their case.

According to the family, their attempts to get the widow investigated over the murder has so far proven futile, suspecting Anas with his high contacts in the former NDC government prevented their cause of investigating the death and seeking justice.

The Danquah family say they strongly agree with MP Kennedy Agyapong's stunning claim that the duo, who were secret lovers when J.B. Danquah was alive, conspired to eliminate the politician through the grisly assassination.

"When we heard of the allegations made by Kennedy Agyapong we were frighted but we were not surprised," Solomon Danquah Adu told Today Radio on Friday.

"We have already said that as a family we said Ivy has some knowledge about his death. We even asked that the police should invite her and question her over the painful death.

"What Kennedy Agyapong is saying is the pure truth - there are no lies. If Kennedy Agyapong says Ivy and Anas have been secret lovers, we are not surprised.

"Ask Ivy who she travelled with to the UK to sell the house belonging to our uncle. Ask Anas and Ivy who went to sell the house.

"They have been dating for very long time even while JB was alive. If it is not the truth let Anas come out and deny by invoking curses. Posterity will judge all of us all some day.

"Call the police headquarters and find out whether Ivy's fingerprints were not found on the dead body of JB.

"And why is it that when the police are on the verge of arresting her people in high places prevent the police from taking the action?," Solomon Danquah Adu asked.

The MP for Assin Central, Kennedy Agyapong made a serious allegation of an amorous relationship between J.B. Danquah's widow and investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas believing the MP was eliminated to allow them to freely continue their love.

The Assin Central MP has stated that he suspects Anas had a hand in the murder of J.B. Danquah-Adu and will soon be calling for his arrest.

Ken Agyapong's suspicion, he claims, is based on concrete information he has gathered concerning Anas and J.B. Danquah's widow, Ivy Heward-Mills.

The controversial MP thus warned those attacking him over his allegations of a relationship the two to stop because they (attackers) were not privy to the information he has.

The Assin Central MP has been on a mission to stop Anas claiming his methods of conducting investigations were unfair and self-serving and he has made a lot of allegations against the award-winning journalist.

Anas' mentor Kweku Baako has come out to deny Ken Agyapong's claims explaining that the only relationship between the two was that they were schoolmates at the Ghana Institute of Journalism (GIJ).
