English-born Ghanaian forward Trae Cook-Appiah has joined Farnham Town F.C. on a one-year contract as the newly promoted National League South side strengthens its squad ahead of the new season.

The 25-year-old arrives on a free transfer following the expiration of his deal with Hemel Hempstead Town F.C..

Cook-Appiah is regarded as a player with pace and attacking flair, having previously impressed during his spell with Walton & Hersham F.C.. He scored 10 goals in 28 appearances in the Southern League Premier South, a run of form that earned him a move to Wealdstone F.C. in early 2024.

But his progress was later hampered by a lengthy injury setback during his time at Hemel Hempstead, restricting his influence despite helping the club’s late push for the play-offs.

Farnham Town manager Paul Johnson said the forward has the qualities to make a major impact in the upcoming campaign.

“Trae is someone I believe is going to really excite the fans next season with his athleticism and goalscoring,” Johnson said.

Club chairman Harry Hugo also backed the signing, praising the player’s determination to recover from injury and return to his best form.

Cook-Appiah’s arrival is seen as an important addition for Farnham Town as the club prepares for life in the National League South following promotion.
