Fatawu Issahaku leaves Leicester City in permanent Move to Ipswich Town

Ghana international Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has completed a permanent transfer from Leicester City to Ipswich Town, bringing an end to his three-year spell with the Foxes.

Leicester City confirmed on Tuesday that an agreement has been reached with Ipswich Town for the transfer of the 21-year-old winger for an undisclosed fee.

In a brief statement, the club thanked the Ghanaian forward for his contributions during his time at the King Power Stadium.

“We would like to thank Abdul for his efforts over the last three seasons,” the club said.

Fatawu joined Leicester after making a name for himself as one of Ghana’s brightest young talents. During his time with the Foxes, he played a key role with his pace, creativity and attacking flair, helping the club during a crucial period though they couldn’t survive in the championship.

The move offers the Black Stars winger a fresh opportunity to continue his development and secure regular first-team football at Ipswich Town as the club prepares for the new season.

The transfer also marks another significant step in Fatawu’s career as he looks to build on his growing reputation in English football while remaining an important figure for Ghana’s national team.

Neither Leicester City nor Ipswich Town disclosed the financial details of the deal.
