Robert Fernandez confirmed the news broken by SPORT, the Barcelona based newspaper some days ago, that Claudio Bravo will become a Manchester City player in the coming hours.

The FC Barcelona technical secretary ended any doubt at the end of the league match against Betis, as he commented:

"Regarding Bravo, we have reached an agreement in principle with Manchester City."

Robert added that the deal will be made official, once all loose ends are tied up:

"In this case, everything will be finalized, and we will open the door for Bravo to leave, once we complete the signing of another keeper."

The Barça representative revealed that the departure of the Chilean was accelerated after the goalkeeper showed some reticence when offered a new Barça contract:

"We were discussing his renewal, the offer from City came in and the player said he wanted to consider it, and weigh things up.

"In the end, we have reached this agreement in principle."

Robert did not want to confirm the imminent arrival of Dutch international Jasper Cillessen, from Ajax, as Claudio Bravo's replacement.
