Head Coach of the Black Princesses Yusif Basigi is confident of his side’s chances ahead of the FIFA U20 Women’s World Cup.

Ghana will kick off their campaign with a clash against host nation France on Sunday.

Basigi predicted a tough encounter with the tournament hosts but said his team were united and in good spirits.

“We have prepared well and I want to believe the girls are ready for the tournament,” he said

“We take on France which we I know will be a very difficult game but I am sure we can surprise them.

“Our main target is to get out of the group stage and from there we will look at going far in the competition.”

Ghana are in Group A together with France, the Netherlands and New Zealand.
