Retired pound for pound king Floyd Mayweather Jr has set his sights on discovering the next world champion among the finest boxers at the 2016 Olympic Games in Brazil.

The 39-year-old five-weight world champion flew to Brazil to take in the latter stages of the tournament in a high-profile scouting mission. Mayweather has already met up with some of the brightest stars.

One of the those is guaranteed bronze medallist Joshua Buatsi who is currently competing in the 81kg category.

Ghanaian-born Briton Buatsi, 23, has been impressive so far in the reaching the semi-finals and could be one of those offered a contract by Mayweather in the future.

Buatsi who shared snaps with Mayweather on Instagram faces Kazakhstan's Adilbek Niyazymbetov on Tuesday for a place in the final.
