The Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ghana has cautioned citizens—particularly young people—to remain vigilant against fraudulent schemes linked to QNET that lure victims abroad with false promises.

In a public notice issued on March 13, 2026, the Ministry reported a growing number of cases in which Ghanaians were deceived with offers of lucrative jobs, business opportunities, or assistance in securing European visas.

According to the statement, many victims who fall for these schemes end up stranded in foreign countries, detained by immigration authorities, or exposed to exploitative living and working conditions.

The Ministry explained that QNET, a multilevel marketing company that has faced scrutiny from regulators in several African countries, is among the networks that have been targeting vulnerable youth through deceptive recruitment tactics.

Authorities therefore urged the public to carefully verify all travel, recruitment and business opportunities through official channels before making any financial commitments or travelling abroad.

Parents, guardians and community leaders were also encouraged to educate young people about the dangers of such fraudulent schemes, which often prey on individuals seeking better economic opportunities.

The Ministry added that it is working closely with relevant security agencies to safeguard Ghanaians and clamp down on criminal networks exploiting unsuspecting citizens.
