Mr. Moses Donkor, father of Dr. Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor, the presidential staffer who was suspended earlier this week over comments made against foot soldiers of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has pleaded for forgiveness for his daughter.

The father admitted his daughter did not act appropriately and therefore, pleaded with the presidency to temper justice with mercy.

Dr. Louise Carol Serwaa Donkor was suspended after she appeared to have ‘insulted’ party foot soldiers on social media.

Responding to a colleague on Facebook who posted that: “As a general rule; I don’t engage party foot soldiers!!”, the presidential staffer said: “you shouldn’t reason with them. It’s like tribalists.”

Her comments sparked condemnation from a section of NPP supporters who felt she had disrespected them.

Although her father believes the suspension handed to his daughter is the right punishment, he has pleaded for her to be forgiven.

Speaking to Kumasi FM, the NPP Old Tafo Constituency Chairman pleaded with the presidency not to sack his daughter after she has served her suspension.

He wondered why Dr. Louise would post such a comment in response to the Facebook post since she is also a foot soldier at Tafo.

“I plead with the foot soldiers to look at me and forgive and forget whatever has happened. Sometimes you say things without thinking about the consequences,” he added.
