Former Ghana coach Avram Grant is amongst a number of high profile managers who have expressed an interest in the Scotland job, Ghanaguardian.com has learned.

SFA chief executive Ian Maxwell is leading the search for a new national team boss following the sacking of Alex McLeish last week.

It's understood the governing body has received in excess of 40 applications for the post.

The former Israel National team Coach supervised the Black Stars to the finals of the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations where Ghana lost to Cote d’ Ivoire.

He has also managed English Premier League sides Chelsea, West Ham United and Portsmouth.
