Four held over armed robbery at Ofoase Kokobeng

The Ashanti South Regional Police Command has arrested four suspects in connection with an armed robbery at Ofoase Kokobeng, near Anwiankwanta.
The suspects are Salifu Adamu, also known as Scorpion, 25; Abdul Latif, alias Bullet, 20; Samed Abdulai, 40; and Ali Mustapha, 30.
Police say the victim, Aliu Mohammed, was attacked on December 8, 2025, and robbed of gold, a mobile phone, cash, a pump-action gun, and his Toyota Camry Spider with registration number GR 8009-15.
Addressing the media in Bekwai on Friday, December 12, the Ashanti South Regional Police Commander, DCOP Joseph Hammond Nyaaba, said officers responded promptly to the incident and traced the victim’s abandoned vehicle to Ofoase Kokobeng township. However, the suspects had fled before police arrived.
He said further intelligence operations led to the arrest of Salifu Adamu and Abdul Latif at the Tweapease Police checkpoint at about 6 p.m. on December 9, 2025.
According to DCOP Nyaaba, interrogations later resulted in the arrest of the remaining suspects, Samed Abdulai and Ali Mustapha, at Tweapease around 8 a.m. on December 10, 2025.
The Regional Commander warned criminals to desist from illegal activities and called on the public to support the police to ensure a peaceful and crime-free Christmas.
