Former Mali captain Frederic Kanoute has voiced his endorsement for Inaki Williams to be among the top three African Players of 2024, highlighting the Athletic Bilbao forward's stellar performance during the 2023/24 season.

Williams notably clinched the La Liga African MVP award after scoring 12 goals and contributing significantly to Athletic Bilbao's Copa del Rey triumph.

Kanoute praised Williams's achievements, stating, "It's difficult for me to name just three, but I would mention Inaki Williams who had a fantastic season with Athletic Bilbao.

" He also mentioned other standout players like Ademola Lookman and Mohamed Salah in his reflections with TV3.

Additionally, Kanoute commended West Ham United star Mohammed Kudus for his remarkable debut season in the Premier League.

Kudus, who scored eight goals and led dribbling statistics across Europe, earned Kanoute's admiration for his versatility and skill on the pitch.

"I'm impressed with Mohammed Kudus from West Ham," Kanoute remarked, underscoring Kudus's potential and impact in English football.

Both Williams and Kudus are poised to continue their influential roles for their respective clubs and national teams, aiming for qualifications in major tournaments such as the 2026 World Cup and the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations with the Ghanaian national team, the Black Stars.
