Pupils, parents and volunteers From Cirencester Deer Park School abseiled down the Ecotricity building in Stroud as part of activities to raise funds for a trip in Ghana.

Members  on Saturday, June 30, took the superheroes approach as they raised money for a two week life changing volunteering expedition.

SUPERHEREOS abseiled down a building of the famous energy company, making their moves one of the most fascinating in recent times.

Arranging free fancy dress hire through Cotswold Costume Hire in Nailsworth, the group showcased a wide range of superheroes for the jump.

The 12 strong group took turns abseiling down the Ecotricity building throughout the afternoon.

Consisting of parents and volunteer pupils from the Cirencester school, they are working together to fundraise enough to cover the cost of travel and for the additional equipment and resources they will need to take.

They leave for Ghana over the Easter 2019 holidays where they will be working on projects that have real impact and aim to chance lives.

The group have planned the trip in partnership with the award winning African Adventures travel company who support multiple projects across the region.

Ghana is one of Africa’s most celebrated countries and hence attracts lots of  volunteers from far and near who contribute in mitigating some  challenges faced by the local population, including significant regional inequality.
