German-born Ghanaian international, Ferdinand Takyi joins German lower tier side, FC Worpswede

German-born Ghanaian forward, Ferdinand Takyi has completed a move to German lower tier side FC Worpswede following the expiration of his contract with fifth tier club Brinkumer SV. He joins another Ghanaian goalkeeper, Stephen Osei who also became a part of the club from January 2024.
The 30-year-old lofty attacker joins on a free transfer as he continues his career in Europe.
With his lots of experience gathered during his stints across Europe, the 6.4ft tall veteran looks to bring a host of experience to his new club, assisting them in diverse ways as they look to better their performances in the league.
The towering forward has been a very dedicated sojourner in the sport, having had stints in multiple European countries including Austria, England, Latvia, Italy and Norway.
His journey across clubs and leagues has made him one of Ghana’s well-travelled footballers, known for his work ethic and ability to easily adapt to different styles of play across the numerous cities of Europe.
FC Worpswede will be looking to build on Takyi’s immense experience, expertise and height as a weapon in attack, going a long way to have an edge over their opponents going into the new season.
Although not among the most high-profile Ghanaian players abroad, Ferdinand Takyi has exhibited a huge character of unabating persistence and continuous dedication as it always go a long way to keep him relevant in the lower tiers of European football with his great reputation built in that regard.
