GES Begins Onboarding for Newly Recruited Staff on August 7
The Ghana Education Service (GES) has announced that successful applicants from its recent nationwide recruitment exercise will begin the next stage of their employment process on Friday, August 7, with regional onboarding set to commence across the country.
The exercise forms part of the final administrative steps before newly recruited staff officially assume their duties in schools and other educational institutions.
In a Facebook post, GES Head of Public Relations, Daniel Fenyi, said the onboarding exercise would run from August 7 until the end of the month, urging successful applicants to report to their respective regional education offices as scheduled.
“From this Friday up to the end of the month, successful applicants in the just-ended recruitment exercise will be going to their respective regions of posting to begin their onboarding processes,” he stated.
According to Mr. Fenyi, the onboarding process will include the verification of personal documents, completion of employment records, and other mandatory administrative procedures required before recruits can formally begin work.
He also advised applicants who have been posted outside their home regions to contact their designated regional education offices before embarking on their journeys.
Mr. Fenyi explained that speaking with regional officials in advance would help applicants confirm reporting dates, documentation requirements and other logistical details, making the process smoother and reducing unnecessary travel challenges.
“Some of them will travel over a long distance from their homes to the regional office. To save part of the stress and ensure a fairly smooth process, successful applicants may want to first call the regional office on the phone to ascertain a few pieces of information before they travel,” he advised.
The GES Public Relations Unit has published the contact details of all regional education offices and encouraged newly recruited staff to save the phone numbers of the regions where they have been posted for easy communication.
Mr. Fenyi further assured recruits that the Public Relations Unit would continue to provide guidance throughout the onboarding exercise until they are fully integrated into the Service and begin receiving their salaries.
“As I said earlier, myself and the PR Unit will be with you throughout the entire process till your first salary drops,” he added.
