The Ghana Football Association has completed a crucial round of interviews in its search for a new head coach for the Black Stars, following the dismissal of Otto Addo.
The interviews, held on Monday, are understood to be a major step in the process of identifying a successor, as Ghana looks to rebuild ahead of the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
Sources indicate that both local and foreign candidates were assessed, with the Association placing emphasis not only on technical expertise but also leadership qualities, vision, and the ability to manage the intense expectations surrounding the national team.
Candidates reportedly presented detailed plans outlining their tactical philosophies, strategies for rebuilding the squad, and approaches to delivering immediate results while ensuring long-term stability.
The GFA is said to be particularly focused on appointing a coach capable of quickly restoring structure and consistency within the team after a difficult run of results.
Addo’s departure came just over a week ago, following a series of disappointing performances in international friendlies, prompting the FA to act swiftly in its search for a replacement.
With the interview stage now complete, the process is expected to move into internal deliberations and consultations with key stakeholders before a final decision is made.
An official announcement is anticipated in the coming days, as the Black Stars prepare to enter a new chapter with a fresh technical direction.
