Chief Executive Officer of Asante Kotoko, Nana Yaw Amponsah has slammed the Ghana Football Association for postponing his side's match day 29 clash with the miners.

According to the Kotoko CEO the GFA has destroyed the Ghana Premier League with the timing of the verdict on the match fixing allegations between Ashgold and Inter Allies.

Speaking in an interview with Peace FM on Thursday morning, has expressed his dissatisfaction with the postponement of the league and has accused of making Ashgold matched uncompetitive.

"We were only informed on Wednesday about the postponement of our game, meanwhile we’ve prepared for the match already, but the timing was wrong, the FA should have consulted further before releasing Ashgold’s verdict."

“So what would happen to the rest of AshantiGold games? How competitive will the matches involving AshantiGold be?”

The Disciplinary  Committee of the Ghana Football Association (GFA) on Monday  16th May,2022 announced  the verdict of  a ten month investigation into allegations of match fixing between Ashgold and Inter Allies at the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium in the 2020/2021 season.

Ashhgold defeated Inter Allies who at the time had been relegated in their  match day 34 clash by a whooping 7-0 score line  with Inter Allies defender Hashmin Musah scoring two comical own goals.

After the match the defender revealed in an interview that he overheard  that the game will end 5-1 so he deliberately scored  the two own goals to foil the betting plot.

Both sides have since been demoted to the Division Two whiles they have also been fined various amounts of money.

The  football administrator has accused the Ghana Football Association of  destroying the beauty of the Ghana Premier League with the timing of the verdict.

Kotoko lead the league table and had the opportunity to have extended the lead after Bechem United drew with RTU on Wednesday before the late postponement.
