GFA wishes Abdul Fatawu Issahaku a speedy recovery after successful surgery

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has extended heartfelt wishes to Abdul Fatawu Issahaku following the winger's successful surgery in England.
The Leicester City and Black Stars player suffered a serious anterior cruciate ligament (ACL) injury during Ghana's crucial 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier against Angola.
The injury forced his substitution in the first half, preventing him from featuring in Ghana’s final Group F match against Niger.
Issahaku took to Instagram to reassure fans and express gratitude for the support he has received:
"All glory be to Almighty Allah. My surgery was successful, and I just want to tell you that I am okay. I want to thank everyone for your best wishes."
In response, the GFA, through the official Black Stars page on X (formerly Twitter), sent a message of encouragement, urging the 20-year-old to return even stronger:
“Wishing Abdul Fatawu Issahaku a speedy recovery after successful surgery. Come back stronger, Fatawu.”
Fans, teammates, and football enthusiasts have also shared their well-wishes, rallying behind the talented winger as he begins his recovery journey.
Issahaku has been a key player for both Ghana and Leicester City, and his absence will be keenly felt in the months ahead.
