Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah insists draw against Benin is ‘reasonable’

Ghana coach Kwesi Appiah insists his side’s 2-2 draw with Benin in their opening Group F clash in Tuesday evening is a ‘reasonable result’.
Mickael Pote gave Benin a shock lead at the Ismailia Stadium after two minutes but Black Stars skipper Andre Ayew restored parity.
Jordan put Ghana in front with a delightful finish, but Pote earned the Squirrels a point after John Boye was dismissed for a second yellow card.
Coach Appiah admitted his side lacked concentration at times in the first and also noted that it was hard to play with 10 men after Boye’s sending off.
Overall the Black Stars boss was impressed with the effort of his team and believes they will give a better account of themselves in their next game.
“It was a good game, we didn’t concentrate in the first half. In the second half it was hard to play with 10 players,” Appiah said in the post-match conference.
“A draw is reasonable. I didn’t lose hope in my team and wait for us in the next game.”
Ghana next play defending champions Cameroon on Saturday.
