The Ghana FA has presented a 'blank budget' to the country's sports ministry ahead of the 2017 Africa Cup of Nations in Gabon , the federation spokesman has confirmed.

The Ghana FA are keen on erasing the erroneous corruption charges leveled against members of the association over the years.

The FA has been accused without basis of inflating figures regarding the Black Stars and are bent on laying the cards bare.

The Ghana federation has been involved in a prolonged dispute with the ministry over issues concerning the management of national teams since Nii Lantey Vanderpuije began his reign as head of the latter in February.

Essentially, the ministry has consistently voiced out frustrations at being left in the dark about several key decisions on the teams, while the FA insists the ministry's public outbursts have left much to be desired.

" The GFA has sent yet another blank budget to the Ministry of Youth and Sports for the Black Stars participation for the 2017 AFCON,"FA spokesman Ibrahim Sannie Daara told Kumasi-based Metro FM

So they are going to assign figures to the items we have given. We dont want the situation that the MOYS will say we have presented an inflated budget."

This is not the first time the FA has presented a blank budget to the Ministry of Sports.

The country's governing body sent a similar proposal to authorities during the Black Stars 2018 World Cup qualifier against Uganda in October.

With the current sports minister expected to exit office in January, its unclear if the current stand-off will continue to exist.

The four-time Africans champions have drawn old foes Egypt, Uganda and Mali in their group.
