Budding Ghanaian dancehall artiste, J. Derobie has accused the erstwhile Mahama administration of causing the current hardship in the country.

The 'Poverty' hitmaker argued that the Akufo-Addo-led government has been working hard to fix the economy however, the failure of previous governments is stalling the progress.

He explained that the current administration must put in more effort to make Ghana great in the future.

The emPawa artiste speaking in an interview on ClassFM on Friday, 27 September 2019 said: “Akufo-Addo’s administration, to me, personally, I think he’s working but it is yet for us to see and I think we’ll see it in years to come, not now.”

“You know, previous governments and all that, people were like the economy was hard. Why is the economy hard? Because there are certain things that we didn’t do or the previous government didn’t do”, he said.

“Since Akufo-Addo came, they are like the economy is harder because we didn’t fix other things in the previous years, it affected us at Akufo-Addo’s time, so, even if Akufo-Addo is fixing it, you wouldn’t see it because the effect is huge. You won’t see it; it’s step by step”, he added.

“So, I feel he’s working, but if only he puts in more and more effort, I think in the future things will be great for Ghana.”

The Nungua-based artiste, who became popular when he auditioned for Mr Eazi's emPawa 100 project, is currently promoting a new song titled "Odo Bra".
