Talks between Torino and Empoli representatives have continued positively as Afriyie Acquah looks ever more likely to leave Turin for the city of Florence this summer.

The Ghanaian international reportedly rejected an initial approach by The Blues as he prefers a move to the Premier League, but there are no concrete prospects at the moment.

Torino in January rejected an offer from English Championship side Birmingham City who were keen to sign the player from the Italian Club.

And after weighing his options, the 26 year old has  given his ‘okay’ to Empoli with the deal set to be concluded in the coming days.

It is expected that Acquah will join the newly promoted Serie A side on a season-long loan deal.
