Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu has been diagnosed with a pulmonary microembolism (a blood clot in the lungs) according to a statement released by Hellas Verona.

The 28-year-old was rushed to the Sacro Cuore hospital in Negrar after suffering the circulatory condition on Wednesday.

He is currently stable but will remain under observation for a few days.

Badu joined Verona last month on loan with option to buy from Udinese.

He spent the 2017-18 campaign on loan at Bursaspor.
