Spanish La Liga giants Villarreal CF have promoted Ghanaian international Emmanuel Lomotey after catching the eye of manager Javi Calleja.

The former Dreams FC midfielder joined the Yellow Submarines on a season long loan from lower tier side Cordoba last month.

After initially impressing for the Villarreal B team, the 20 year old has earned a promotion to the first team and will be wearing the No.40 Jersey.

Lomotey was member of the Black Stars B squad  to clinch the 2017 WAFU Nations Cup on home soil.

He made 24 appearances, scored 10 times and provided 10 assists as the Still Believe lads emerged champions to make a swift return to the Ghanaian top flight.
