Ghana Premier League clubs participate in virtual media and marketing seminar

A virtual media and marketing seminar was recently held for Ghana Premier League clubs, aimed at providing them with strategies to improve their media presence, fan engagement, and overall marketing effectiveness.
The seminar covered a range of essential topics, including Match Promotion & Publicity, Club Media and Marketing, Fan Engagement and Retention, and Match Day Activations.
The event was designed to help clubs strengthen their communication and marketing efforts to better connect with fans and stakeholders.
Key speakers from the Ghana Football Association (GFA) led the sessions, offering valuable insights and practical strategies.
Jamil Maraby, Director of Marketing, shared best practices for promoting matches, with a focus on increasing attendance and visibility.
He emphasized the importance of engaging content and effective match promotion.
Neil Armstrong-Mortagbe, Head of Public Relations and Strategy, discussed effective public relations techniques, media engagement, and brand positioning.
He also highlighted how clubs can leverage Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiatives to build relationships with Corporate Ghana and strengthen community ties.
Janice Odonkor, Head of Business Development, provided innovative approaches to securing business opportunities and sponsorships.
She encouraged clubs to think creatively in attracting partners. Julius Emunah, Head of Competitions, spoke about the importance of organizing successful match-day experiences to create lasting memories for fans and improve fan loyalty.
Representatives from all Premier League clubs actively participated in the seminar, engaging in discussions on how to overcome marketing challenges and improve fan engagement.
The GFA organized the seminar as part of its broader effort to raise the professional standards of football in Ghana.
By focusing on better media relations, enhanced match-day experiences, and sustainable fan engagement strategies, the Association aims to help clubs grow their fanbases and improve their overall marketing impact.
