The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, Samuel Okudzeto Ablakwa, has held a fruitful meeting with the Ambassador of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to Ghana, Sultan Abdulrahman Al-Dhakel, to discuss ways of strengthening bilateral cooperation between the two countries.

The discussions centred on enhancing diplomatic, economic, and cultural relations, while exploring new areas of mutual interest that could further solidify the long-standing Ghana–Saudi partnership.

Following the engagement, Mr. Ablakwa described the meeting as “positive and forward-looking,” expressing optimism about the prospects for closer collaboration.

He hinted that a major announcement will be made during an upcoming visit by his Saudi counterpart later this month, noting that ongoing negotiations are being pursued “forcefully in the best interest of all Ghanaians.”

“Ghanaians and Saudis are going to love what we shall be announcing when my counterpart visits Ghana later this month,” he said, adding, “Cheers to our stronger Ghana–Saudi Arabia partnership.”
