English side Aston Villa have confirmed the signing of Middlesbrough and Ghana winger Albert Adomah on transfer deadline day, in a sensational merry-go-round move.

Owner and Chairman of the club Dr Tony Xia has confirmed the Ghanaian has completed his move to the Villa Park.

The capture brings to an end a dramatic episode after the former Bristol City winger was reported to have turned down a request to join the relegated Premier League side.
The Ghana international has signed a three-year contract with the side after he rejected a fresh offer from Boro.

Adomah has been a bit hit and miss for ‘Boro, but he won’t be relied on too hard at Villa, who can lean on Jordan Ayew, Rudy Gestede, Ross McCormack and Jonathan Kodjia for goals.

Interestingly enough, Adomah is Villa’s 9th signing of the current window and is the 5th who has previously won promotion. There’s a clear format for future signings then.

He is expected to reunite with international teammate Jordan Ayew - who incidentally is believed to be forcing a move to an unnamed French club.
