Ghana youngster Eric Ayiah has completed a transfer to French Ligue 1 giants AS Monaco.

The budding forward joined The Red and Whites on a five deal from Ghanaian lower tier side Charity FC.

The 18-year-old was Ghana’s captain at the Under-17 Afcon and Fifa World Cup in India last year.

The player’s agent, Samuel Owusu Amoah confirmed the deal: “Ayiah has signed a five-year contract with AS Monaco after passing his medical.”

“We believe the club is the best destination for him to continue his development. We’ve seen what the club has done with unearthing big players like Kylian Mbappe and believe moving to France with Monaco will help him.”

Eric Ayiah made a mark for himself when he ended up as a joint top scorer at the Africa U-17 Championships in Gabon and also scored three goals for the Black Starlets at the FIFA U-17 World Cup in India.
