Ghana is a part of 23 countries that receives healthcare and medical benefits from the state of Qatar.
This project is supported by the Sheikh Eid bin Mohammad Al Thani Charitable Association,which has also provided healthcare services to countries like Palestine, Sudan,Nigeria, Tanzania, India, Sri Lanka and Malawi among others.
The project which was implemented has a cost of QR4 million,and the money was donated by philanthropists in Qatar and has benefited about 159,000 patients.

The charity said healthcare and medical equipment were covered by 63 projects in 12 countries, 33 projects covered the treatment of patients in eight countries, and medical equipment were provided for 20 people in three countries.
The charity provided medical camps to deprived countries in Africa and Asia, which included the treatment of patients and training for doctors to perform surgical operations.
