Ghanaian-born Australian forward Kwame Yeboah is heading back to the Hyundai A-League after signing for Western Sydney Wanderers.

The 24-year-old attacking prospect, who has represented Australia at under-17 and under-23 levels, has spent the past four years developing his game in Germany.

A Queensland native, Yeboah broke through at Brisbane Roar and made his Hyundai A-League debut in Round 21 of the 2012/13 Season against Wellington Phoenix.

Yeboah went on to make 12 Hyundai A-League appearances, and scored two goals, before moving to Germany with Borussia Mönchengladbach. He also had a loan spell at SC Paderborn, and most recently played for Fortuna Koln in the German third division.

He will be eligible to help boost Wanderers' Hyundai A-League Finals Series aspirations when the International Transfer Window opens in early January.

Wanderers CEO John Tsatsimas expressed his delight to land such an exciting Australian-born talent with experience in Europe.

“Kwame is an exciting Australian player who we are delighted to be able to bring back to the Hyundai A-League following his extended stay in Germany,” said Tsatsimas.

“Bringing in quality Australian players is essential in this league and in Kwame we believe we have secured a real talent, someone that we believe will add a little extra to our squad.

“As a club we are fully focused on having a successful season and making a strong impression on the league in 2019 and beyond.”
