Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku scores in Başakşehir's loss to Konyaspor

Ghanaian defender Jerome Opoku found the net for İstanbul Başakşehir in a narrow 3-2 defeat against Konyaspor in the Turkish Super Lig on Sunday.
Opoku's close-range finish in first-half stoppage time leveled the score at 1-1, providing a crucial equalizer just before the break.
The match, held at the Medaş Konya Büyükşehir Stadyumu, initially saw Alassane Ndao give Konyaspor the lead in the 32nd minute.
Ndao went on to complete his hat-trick with goals in the 50th and 73rd minutes, putting Konyaspor in control.
Başakşehir attempted a late comeback with a header from Krzysztof Piątek in stoppage time, but it wasn't enough to avoid defeat.
Opoku’s impressive performance brings his season tally to two goals and two assists in 10 Super Lig matches.
Başakşehir now shifts their focus to the upcoming UEFA Conference League match against FC København on November 7.
