Ghanaian referee Daniel Laryea officiates Burkina Faso's 2023 AFCON qualifier win against Cape Verde

Ghanaian center referee Daniel Laryea  took  charge of Friday's 2023 African Cup of Nations qualifier between Burkina Faso and Cape Verde.

The first round match between Burkina Faso and Cape Verde was played on Friday, June 3, 2022, in Marrakech - Morocco due to the  security situation in Burkina Faso.

Center referee Daniel Laryea and three other compatriots handled the game which Burkina Faso the home side  won by 2-0. 

Goals from Hassan Bande in the 58th minute and  Dango Ouattara in the 88th minute gave the host an opening day win.

 Laryea has been a FIFA referee since 2014 while his two assistants are also Ghanaians were Paul Kodzo Atimaka and Kwasi Acheampong Brobbey.  The fourth referee for the game was also Abdul Latif Adaari.
