Ghanaian striker Abdul Majeed Waris has been offered to French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes after departing  Strasbourg after the expiration of his contract.

The 30-year-old forward is currently without a club whiles Nantes are searching for a low-cost striker to shore up their attack.

Nantes have held an interest in Hwang Ui-Jo who plays for Girondins de Bordeaux whiles they have also looked at Fiorentina's Christian Kouamé but do not have the budget.

According to French journalist Emmanuel Merceron, the Canaries have even been offered the services of their former player, Majeed Waris (30), free since leaving RC Strasbourg on July 1 after the expiration of his contract.

The Ghanaian striker struggled last season for playtime at Strasbourg as he made just 16 appearances with a total time of 334 minutes and scored 2 goals

Majeed Waris has in the past played for Nantes on loan from FC Porto in 2018 and also had stints with Valenciennes FC, Spartak Moscow, BK Häcken among others
