German-born Ghanaian winger Aaron Opoku-Tawiah has departed German Bundesliga III side VfL Osnabruck after the expiration of his deal.

Aaron Opoku joined Osnabrück on loan from Hamburger SV last summer, assisted 15 goals in 32 games and scored three goals himself.

He helped the lower tier Bundesliga side to a sixth place finish in the league  and is expected to play a starring role for Hamburg next season.

The 23 year old left winger has made a return to parent club  Hamburg after the expiration of his loan deal.

On Saturday, VfL Osnabrück said goodbye to Aaron Opoku and four others players whose contracts expire at the end of the season.

Sebastian Klaas, Ulrich Bapoh, Jan Chorushij and Tom Bertelsmann will no longer wear the purple and white kit next season.

He has played for Germany at youth team level but is still eligible to play for Ghana.
