A 23-year-old woman is facing the law for stabbing her boyfriend to death.

The suspect, Akua Oparebea, stabbed her boyfriend during an exchange between the deceased, Moro Okai, 36, and her.

According to the Accra Region Police Crime Officer, Chief Superintendent Edward Kumi Faakye, Akua and the deceased lived together with their two sons.

Chief Supt. Faakye stated that on September 4, Moro returned from work and realised that Akua was not at home, so he called her to ask her where she was.

When Moro called, Akua told him she went to visit their plot of land at Amasaman.

The Crime Officer noted that when Akua got back home, Moro didn’t take it kindly with her, and this resulted in heated exchanges between the two.

Akua used a kitchen knife to stab Moro when the exchanges degenerated into a fight between the two.

When no one came to assist her in conveying her lover to the hospital, Akua fled to Suhum with her two sons, leaving Moro in a pool of blood.

Patrick Opare, the suspect’s brother, who heard the noise during the fight, rushed to their kiosk and rushed Moro to the hospital.

At the hospital, Moro was pronounced dead on arrival. Akua was arrested at Suhum and handed over to the police.
