The government of Ghana has released a statement stating that the meeting between Football World governing body FIFA, over moves to implement reforms in Ghana Football following the recent impasse between the Ministry of Youth and Sports and the Ghana FA has been successfull. 

A three-member delegation from FIFA led by Mr Veron Mosengo Omba, FIFA's new Director of Development for Africa and the Caribbean, Mr. Hamidu Zibrela - President of Niger Football Federation and Mr Solomon Modegbe, held showdown talks in Accra on Friday, June 22 as part of processes to reform, sanitize and re-organize football activities in the country.

The government on the hand was led by Mr. Asiamah, with Dr. Mustpha Ahmed, Minister for Information, Mr. Samuel Abu Jinapor, Deputy Chief of Staff, Godfred Yeboah Dame, Deputy Attorney General and Minister of Justice.

The move comes after the government of Ghana announced plans to dissolve the Ghana Football Association (GFA) following a damning investigative documentary on corruption in African football by ace investigative journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas.

The meeting between the two parties is expected to continue in the coming days in Zurich, Switzerland.
