Gov't invests 16.9 million projects in Ahafo region

Government has committed resources to physical projects in the Ahafo region to provide the infrastructural foundation for the administration of the areas.
The Ahafo region is currently benefiting from the construction of new administration blocks to provide conducive office spaces for the various regional coordinating councils (RCCs), and the education, health and agriculture directorates in the regional capitals.
The projects - which also include the construction of a court building at Hwidiem in Asutifi South District, structures that will serve as police commands in Goaso, and staff bungalows for various categories of public sector workers- are being funded by the District Assembly Common Fund (DACF).
Another project in the Region is the construction of the Education Directorate at Bechem and the Regional Health insurance office at Mim.
At Goaso, capital of Ahafo Region, the GH¢16.9 million RCC administrative block was 67 per cent complete, while a two-storey administration block for the health directorate at Hwediem, also in the region, was under construction
The beneficiary districts included Asunafo North, Asunafo South, Asutifi South, Asutifi North, Tano North and Tano south.
