GPL: Dramani calls for strong Hearts response ahead of Basake Holy Stars clash
7th March 2026
Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Mas‑Ud Didi Dramani, has urged his players to remain focused and deliver a strong response when they face Basake Holy Stars F.C. in their Matchday 25 fixture.
The Phobians head into the match looking to recover from a 2–1 defeat to Bibiani Gold Stars F.C. last weekend, a result Dramani says the team is determined to put behind them.
Speaking ahead of the encounter at the University of Ghana Stadium, the Hearts of Oak manager warned his side to be wary of Basake’s attacking threats, particularly their pacey wingers.
“It’s a very strong side. They play through very good wingers in the persons of Prince Tweneboah and Gideon Quaison, and they are very direct,” Dramani said.
“They try to put balls in the box, crosses, and so all that we need to do is to try to shut them off. We need to respond positively in that game,” he added.
Hearts of Oak will be hoping to return to winning ways as they continue their campaign in the Ghana Premier League.
Kick-off for the match is scheduled for 15:00 GMT.
