Eleven Wonders SC finally recorded their first victory of the 2025/26 Ghana Premier League campaign, defeating Dreams FC 2-0 in their Week 12 fixture at the Legon Sports Stadium on Monday.

Match Context

  • Wonders had endured a patchy start to the season, parting ways with two coaches — Nii Odartey Lamptey and veteran Josef Emmanuel Sarpong.

  • Newly appointed coach Emmanuel Aidoo guided the side to their long-awaited breakthrough win, offering a glimmer of hope in their survival fight even as they went a man down in the game.
Aidoo’s Reaction

Speaking after the match, Aidoo admitted to the challenges but expressed optimism:

“Winning against Dreams FC is a great feeling. You know, today is my birthday, so I told my boys, and they asked me what I wanted. I told them to win this match for me, and that’s what they have done.”

He stressed that the team must quickly refocus:

“The celebration ends right here because where we are sitting on the league table is not good. We will put these three points somewhere, and we will push for more points in the upcoming games.”

Dormon’s Disappointment

Dreams FC head coach Winfred Dormon lamented missed opportunities:

“We had some pockets of chances, but unfortunately, we didn’t take them. They took theirs — one in the first half and a second in the second half. This is a very disappointing performance.”

League Standings After Week 12

  • Eleven Wonders: Bottom of the table with 6 points.

  • Dreams FC: 16th place with 11 points, slipping into the relegation zone.
