Asante Kotoko returned to winning ways after sealing the league title by beating Great Olympics by a solitary goal on Sunday afternoon in their Ghana Premier League match-week 32 clash.

A brilliant goal from lethal Cameroonian striker Frank Mbella Etouga handed the porcupine warriors all three points at the Accra Sports Stadium.

The home side started the game on the front foot and posed all the questions to Asante Kotoko but they were resolute at the back.

Great Olympics trio of Maxwell Abbey Qauye, Samuel Abbey Quaye and Ibrahim Sulley round rings around the Kotoko back line but they could not profit as they repelled all hat was thrown at them.

Kwame Baah saved from Liberian import Varney Boakai Junior with a  brilliant effort before Ibrahim Sulley also saw his effort saved.

Kwame Baah was called into action on the stroke of half time as saved a brilliant free kick from Raymond Grippman

The visitors could have taken the lead but Samuel Boateng wasted his effort as goalkeeper Seidu Ismaila tamely gathered as the first half ended in a goalless draw.

Kotoko took the lead through the prolific Frank Mbella Etouga in the 69th minute for his 21st goal of the season as it proved to be the winner.

The home side pressed for the elusive equalizer which never came as the reds won 1-0.
