GPL: GFA confirms mid-season transfer window dates

The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has officially announced that the mid-season transfer window will open on Tuesday, December 16, 2025, at 00:01 GMT and close on Thursday, January 15, 2026, at 11:59 p.m. GMT.

Transfer Window Details


  • Clubs will have the opportunity to strengthen their squads during this period.

  • Both the International Transfer Matching System (ITMS) and Domestic Transfer Matching System (DTMS) will be active, enabling clubs to complete local and foreign transfers before the deadline.

  • The GFA emphasized that clubs must process all transactions through ITMS/DTMS within the stipulated timeframe.

Compliance & Warnings


  • The FA cautioned that any club failing to meet the minimum squad requirement of 20 approved players will be deactivated.

  • A stern reminder was issued:

  • “Clubs are kindly reminded to fully comply with the directive and take note as there shall be no extensions to the window.”

  • The Ghana Premier League is currently in week 14.

  • The season is scheduled to conclude on May 30, 2026, making the mid-season window a crucial opportunity for clubs to reinforce their squads ahead of the run-in.
