President of Groupe Ideal, Dr Nii Kotei Dzani says he is confident of a peaceful election in December.

He said he has no doubt in his mind that Ghanaians will conduct themselves in accordance with the law and not engage in any form of violence during the elections.

Dr Dzani made these observations when delegates from the Ghana + Peace campaign paid a courtesy call on him in Accra.

In his endorsement of the Ghana + Peace campaign’s symbolic calabash, the businessman stated that businesses can only thrive in a peaceful environment , therefore the need for peace cannot be underrated.

He expressed excitement at being part of the campaign and urged the media to project peace in a rather positive and attractive way and not instill fear in Ghanaians.

He further appealed to Ghanaians to unite in one accord and to understand that the purpose of elections is to make it possible to select a leader.

“Whatever the outcome may be, peace must reign in the country before, during and after the elections,” he said.

Dr Dzani also advised the youth to desist from indulging in acts of violence which will threaten the peace of Ghana rather focus on being productive in their areas of professional interest.
