Black Stars skipper Asamoah Gyan is yet to settle with his new employers but has already won their hearts and that of the club's faithful.

The Shanghai SIPG loanee has scored twice since arriving from China in spite of the fact that he has not recovered fully from injury.

Gyan in an interview has attributed his promising start of the season to the romance between himself and the club's trainer.

To the former Sunderland forward, having hit the back of the net two times although he is yet to regain full fitness is refreshing and gives him the confidence that he replicates his fine Gulf form on his second coming.

He revealed that playing under a trainer you are comfortable with comes with some great sense of fulfillment that results in achieving so much even when one is not fully fit.

Gyan pointed out that “I always enjoy it. As I said before, I'm happy to play here and I'm happy to play under a coach I feel comfortable with, so it's a good thing. I'm playing with happiness now.”

The Ghanaian striker chalked great success in the Gulf top flight league during his spell with Al Ain few seasons ago.

His contribution has led to Ahly's current position on the  league log as leaders  with three points and will play as guests of  Al Nasr at Rashid Al-Maktoum Stadium today.
