Accra Hearts of Oak winger Patrick Razak says the suspension of the Ghana Premier League is badly affecting the players.

Following the exposé by undercover journalist Anas Aremeyaw Anas in June, over 77 referees and football administrators were caught on camera accepting bribes to influence Ghana Premier League results, leading to an indefinite suspension on all football related activities.

This has disturbed the Ghanaian Premier League as it is unclear when the second half of the 2018 season will resume.

“It has affected us because we need to play competitive football, and now we are not playing, we have to stay at home and because football is our career, we have to keep training, prepare ourselves and wait for the resumption of the league” he said to the press.

“It is affecting the whole country because there is no football going on in the country, and we all know the reason why it is so” Razak added.
