Accra Hearts Oak have rejected signing former  midfielder Bernard Don Bortey against his wish to relaunch his career with the former African Champions.

The phobians have told the  former Ghana U17 star  to look elsewhere despite impressing in the team’s preseason exercise, with the hope to returning  to the club for the third time.

Bortey, 33, had been training with his former Club for some time now in a bid to return to the Rainbow outfit.

The confederation cup winner featured in the team’s GHALCA G6 competition where he made an appearance in the final game against Aduana Stars.

The speedster had been training with the club in the preseason hoping to resurrect his flagging career which took a nose dive after leaving the shores of Ghana.

The former Aduana Stars attacker  will now be seeking to secure himself a deal with a Premier League Club before the season begins.

Dong Bortey Joined Accra Hearts of Oak in the 2000/2001 season from Tema Ghapoha and was part of the squad that won the Confederation Cup against the cliub's perennial rivals Kotoko.
