Every hardworking employee needs to take a break once in a while and let the steam blow off a bit. And specially when you’re the CEO of the world’s most profitable company, Apple, a break is much needed. So, Apple CEO Tim Cook followed the principle and partied at the world’s most popular music festival – Coachella. Although Cook did not talk one bit about where he’s was partying this weekend, one of the DJ’s did.
One of the known DJ and music artist Diplo revealed Cook’s presence at Coachella music festival by posting an image with him on Instagram. “some random guy came up to me and asked for a picture but I look good so here it is,” he said in the caption jokingly on Sunday (April 14).
What’s interesting is that the music artist took it to Twitter and posted the image in order to give it to Cook because the Apple CEO asked for it. “[email protected]_cook asked me to send him this but he doesn’t follow me.. so if everyone could tag him that would be great,” he tweeted.

It is not the first time Apple is making its presence felt at the Coachella music festival though. Back in 2014, Apple debuted its iBeacons feature in Coachella's official app. This was followed by Apple Watch’s promotion by Beyonce in 2015. The model/singer posted images of her sporting an 18-karat Apple Watch Edition with a custom band. In 2017 we saw Apple indirectly getting promoted when a thief reportedly stole over a hundred iPhones and later getting caught using Find my iPhone feature.
For those unaware, Coachella annual music festival is happening in California, US and will be held from 12-14 and 19-21 April.
Google is also not behind when it comes to the Coachella festival. The company’s YouTube platform has been live stream the music festival since day one.
