Division One side Home Stars FC has officially signed 17-year-old midfielder Yakubu Muntawakiru from Shooting Stars on a three-year contract.

The promising youngster is set to make his debut in a highly anticipated match against Okwawu United FC, which carries extra significance as it pits him against his father's team in the opening game of the Division One League.

Muntawakiru, a former player for Validus, has already gained recognition for his impressive performances, drawing interest from several clubs, including top-tier teams like WAFA and Asante Kotoko.

His football journey began with the All In One Colts football club in Nkawkaw, where he first showcased his potential.

His rising profile in Ghanaian football has also earned him an invitation to join the national under-19 team in camp, under the guidance of coach Karim Zito, further cementing his status as a player to watch.

Home Stars FC management is hopeful that Muntawakiru will have a significant impact on the team as they prepare for the new season in the Division One League.

The club aims to build on their performance and secure a strong start, with Muntawakiru's debut eagerly awaited by fans and teammates alike.
