An eight-year-old boy only identified only as Kobina has been grisly murdered at Adiembra, a suburb of Sekondi-Takoradi in the Western Region.

The lifeless body of the boy was found on Sunday, September 1 in a plantain farm throwing the community into a state of shock.

According to reports, the boy was discovered with a very deep cut on the neck.

Kasapa news reports that the Public Relations Officer of the Western Regional Police Command DSP Olivia Ewurabena Adiku who confirmed the unfortunate incident disclosed that the grandmother of the boy had gone to make an announcement that he had gone missing for a day.

She added that it was in the process of searching for the boy that his lifeless body was found.

The body has been kept at the Effia Nkwanta Hospital morgue for preservation and autopsy.

Police have since commenced investigations into the murder to apprehend the culprits, and further urged the public to volunteer information on the matter.
