The CEO of Awurade Na Aye Bakery, the parent firm of the well-known bread brand Hot Oven, Madam Peace Amegya, has donated to the victims of the disaster caused by the Akosombo Dam.

She gave more than 650 individuals who are presently seeking safety at the Mepe RC Camp hot bread.

According to her, it is their small way of helping the individuals impacted by this regrettable circumstance.

"We were made aware of the situation, and we could relate to the victims' suffering and felt compelled to make a small contribution to help them through this trying time. We're hoping that this will significantly contribute to ensuring that they receive some relief," she remarked.

Hon. Samuel Okudjeto Ablakwa, the local MP, accepted the donation on behalf of the people and expressed his sincere gratitude to Hot Even Bread for coming in to serve the community.

He wrote, "Owner of the popular and delicious Hot Oven bakery was here to serve it hot as she loves to do it. Mum, the 650 people you fed this morning at the Mepe RC Camp are absolutely grateful. God bless."

The Volta River Authority (VRA) began spilling the Akosombo Dam on September 15, which has resulted in the displacement and homelessness of almost 26,000 people.
