Maverick Politician and Ashanti Regional Chairman of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) Bernard Antwi Boasiako, aka Chairman Wontumi has revealed that he built his first 25-bedroom house at age 22.
According to Wontumi who claims he made money very early in life, he has over hundred houses only in Kumasi.
Speaking to Bola Ray on Starr Chat Wednesday, Chairman Wontumi who is the Managing Director of Hansol Mining stated that he used to earn $1m dollars a day.
“I’m not in politics for money, I know what is money. Go to PMMC…I used to get $1m a day. At the age of 36, I used to assemble cars called Wontumi, I named those cars after myself, my trade mark was on it. I was assembling it until the NDC took it away from it. Once the evil one comes, he comes to destroy, but God did not permit them, he hid my soul…they did a lot.”
Chairman Wontumi’s HANSOL Mining Company Limited was ransacked by an inter-ministerial task force made up of security personnel on suspicion that the company had brought in some Chinese nationals to engage in illegal mining activities.
The task force, Kasapafmonline.com understands, allegedly made away with some valuables including money, gold and some other equipment and later set the entire place in flames even though they found no foreigner at the site.
